To Our Clients,

We are reaching out to check in during this strange and difficult time and update you about care options for the near future.

The Woodlands Family Institute is currently open and seeing clients, both in person and remotely. If you are on our schedule, then our therapists are planning to meet with you as scheduled. Please note the following guidelines in our efforts to keep us all healthy, both physically and mentally:

  • If you are feeling healthy and asymptomatic, you may come in the office for your session.
  • If you are asymptomatic but have been exposed or possibly exposed to COVID-19, do not come in for your session! Rather your therapist will meet with you remotely.
  • If you are asymptomatic but wish to limit public exposure at this time, contact your therapist to arrange a remote session.
  • If you have any symptoms of illness (fever, cough, shortness of breath) do not come in for your session. We can meet with you remotely, or you may cancel or postpone your session. At this time we will not be charging for late cancellations due to illness.
  • Your therapist will help walk you through your choices for remote sessions.

If a decision is made to discontinue in-person sessions and move exclusively to remote sessions, your therapist will contact you individually via email, a phone call or a text.

There is a ton of anxiety and uncertainty right now, and we are all feeling the stress. Staying on top of your mental health is critical during times of crisis. We are here for you.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or need to check in individually.

Take care of yourselves and your families.

Best,

Woodlands Family Institute

Our Practice

office staff.1

At Woodlands Family Institute, the needs of our clientele come first. When you make that first phone call to schedule an appointment or check for services, a live voice will respond with a genuine desire to help. Our automated phone service is used only after-hours and weekends.

Our therapists manage their own schedules; some see clients in the morning, others in the afternoon and evenings. Appointments may even be available on weekends, depending on the therapist. Office staff are available 8am to 5pm, Monday through Thursday, and 8am to 4pm on Fridays.

Our clients come to us from pastors, physicians, attorneys, professional associations, and internet searches. But our largest referral sources are previous clients who believe in our skills and our desire to help. To them we extend our heart-felt gratitude.

We carefully match clients to the resources they need—even if that means referring to a quality therapist or program outside of our practice. We see mostly high functioning people who face problems in living. Because we treat clients on an out-patient basis, we assist those who suffer severe mental illness by finding professionals and programs that provide more intensive treatment.
